First Scholars program

The First Scholars program supports first-generation college students at NAU with resources, guidance, and connection to help them succeed in college and reach graduation. From funding to mentoring, it’s all about helping you succeed and feel connected along the way.

The First Scholars program supports first-generation students throughout the college experience—from your first day to graduation. You’ll get guidance, connection, and a $2,000 scholarship each year, with programs and resources to help you stay on track.

First Scholars is for full-time, first-year students from Arizona whose parent or guardian hasn’t earned a bachelor’s degree. If you’re the first in your family to go to college, this program is for you.
