Do I need a car?

No. First-year students, especially those living on Flagstaff campus, are strongly encouraged not to bring a car to campus. Students rarely use their cars—everyone on campus walks, bikes, or takes the shuttle to get around. In fact, more than 65% of NAU students never bring a car to campus and travel easily without a car.
