Academic advising for graduate students
Before enrolling in graduate courses, it’s a good idea to connect with your assigned advisor. They’ll help you understand your program and work with you to map out your path to graduation.
How do I find my assigned advisor?
Depending on your program, you might be matched with an Academic Advisor, a Faculty Mentor, or a Graduate Coordinator or sometimes a combination of these roles.
To find your advisor, log into your LOUIE account and click on the Academic Progress tile. From there, select Advisors to view your assigned advisor’s name and contact information.
If no advisor is listed in LOUIE, refer to the contact information provided for your specific program below. They can help you identify the correct advising contact and guide you on your next steps.
Note: The NAU Office of Graduate & Professional Studies doesn’t serve as an advising resource. Instead, each graduate program offers its own advising support. Check below for details specific to your program.
